Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Jallikattu (Vh;jGt [jy;) will be held on 26.03.2017 by the villagers and devotees of St.Antony's Church, Periya Aalampatti Village, Inamkulathur, Srirengam Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 21.02.2017.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Jallikattu in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the first respondent viz., District Collector, Tiruchirappalli District is directed to look into the representation dated 21.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
