JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) Though the learned Single Judge directed the appellant to pay back wages for the period from 28.01.2003 to 31.05.2014, the respondent has now filed a memo stating that he is ready and willing to accept 50% of the back wages payable for the said period.
2. The learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the said amount would be paid within twelve weeks. The statement made by the learned counsel for the appellant is recorded.
3. It is to be noted that the appellant has not yet paid the 50% amount agreed to by the respondent, and a contempt petition has already been filed. It is made clear that, if the said amount is not paid by the appellant within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the 50% amount shall carry interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from 28.01.2003 until the date of deposit.
