ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to provide adequate compensation for the land acquired by the 2nd and 3rd respondents in respect of land in Survey No.47/2 in Vallakulam Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 23.03.2020 and 08.05.2026.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner's land has been acquired by the respondents for providing house sites to the Adi Dravidar Community under Section 4(2) of the Tamilnadu Acquisition of land for Harijan Welfare Scheme Act. However, compensation has not been provided so far. Hence, for providing compensation for the land that has been acquired by the respondents, the petitioner has sent representations to the respondents 2 and 3. However, since the said representations have not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.

4. Considering the limited prayer that has been sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2026 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
