O R D E R

Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned counsel takes notice for the fourth respondent - Society. With the consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 12.12.2016 and 19.12.2016 and to proceed with the same in accordance with law.

3. On perusal, it is seen that the petitioner, through the said representations, has made some allegations against one Balaji, Village Administrative Officer of Enathi Group and also sought for grant of Crop Insurance for the year 2016-2017.

4. Though the petitioner has made allegations in his applications, against the Village Administrative Officer, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the petitioner's representations by construing the same as one seeking for Crop Insurance only.

5. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 12.12.2016 and 19.12.2016, for the grant of crop insurance alone and to pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
