Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the rejection order of the second respondent dated 24.02.2017 and quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to grant permission and protection to perform cultural Adalpadal programe scheduled to be held on 03.03.2017 pursuant "Masi Festival" at Arulmigu Sri Pattiasamy Kovil at Tharmathupatti Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Manikandan For Respondents : Mr.R.Velmurugan, Government Advocate.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the order dated 24.02.2017 passed by the second respondent and quash the same and also for directing the respondents to give permission for conducting Cultural Programme in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of certiorarified mandamus. 2.Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the order dated 24.02.2017 that the permission sought by the petitioner has been rejected only on the ground of law and order problem and the reason given by the second respondent cannot be accepted. Under the said circumstances, the impugned order is liable to be quashed.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the impugned order dated 24.02.2017 passed by the second respondent is quashed. The second respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
