No.7232 of 2025:- Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed under Section 482 CRPC and Section 528 of BNSS to grant further period of six months to complete the investigation and file the final report as per the direction given by this Court, in its order dated 20.11.2024 made in Crl MP(MD) No.12286/2024 and CRL OP(MD).No.19931 of 2024 1/4

Prayer in CRL OP(MD).No.19931 of 2024:- Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS., to call for the records of the proceedings in Crime No.6 of 2024 on the file of the first respondent Police (Vigilance and Anti Corruption Wing, Sivagangai Detachment, Sivagangai).

ORDER:- Criminal Original Petition coming up for orders on this day and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court and the requisition letter submitted by the Deputy Registrar(i/c), Forensic Sciences Department, Chennai-4 in T.No.411/2025, Phy.No.16/2025 dated:23.05.2025,this Court made the following order: "This petition has been filed by the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Wing, Sivagangai, seeking to grant a further period of six months to complete the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2024 and file the final report before the concerned Court, as per the direction of this Court passed in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.19931 of 2024 dated 20.11.2024.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that they are awaiting a report from the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL). He further submits that they have recovered CCTV footage from the Sub Registrar Office and the same has also been sent for verbatium transcription to the Forensic Laboratory on 10.01.2025. Thereafter, several reminders have also been sent to the Forensic 2/4

Science Department. The Deputy Director of Forensic Science Department, in her letter dated 23.05.2025, stated that they find it difficult to extract the audio component from the materials placed. Therefore, they request six more months for concluding the investigation. The letter of the Deputy Director of the Forensic Sciences Department dated 23.05.2025 is also placed before this Court.

3. Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), time is extended by five months to complete the investigation in Crime No.6 of 2024 and file the final report before the concerned Court.
