ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order of the 2nd respondent vide his proceedings in Ni.Mu.A1/6421/2025 dated 23.12.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. Though the petitioner has assailed the impugned order, the petitioner has filed an appeal against the order impugned in this writ petition before the appellate authority, namely, the District Collector, Karur District and the same is pending.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that even after filing of the appeal, the appellate authority has not even taken steps to hear/dispose the appeal.

5. In view of the appeal filed against the order impugned and the same is pending before the appellate authority, the writ petition is not maintainable. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. However, the appellate authority, namely, the 1st respondent herein is directed to dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the counter part, if any, and orders shall be passed on merits and in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 13.05.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No RR TO
