Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabbadi Tournament by the petitioner's Village people at C.M.S. Church Ground, Ambalam, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District which is scheduled to be taken place on 24.05.2017 to 25.05.2017 between 06.00 p.m. to 06.00 a.m. in connection with 84th Aanandha Pandigai at C.M.S Suthanga Suvisasha Sabal of Ambalam, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District. For Petitioner : Mr.P.T.Ramesh Raja For Respondent : Mr.R.Velmurugan, Government Advocate.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Kabbadi Tournament in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.R.Velmurugan, learned Government Advocate, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 01.03.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 01.03.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
