PRAYER (W.P.(MD) No.3807 of 2017): Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.01.2017, seeking for extension of time to run a daily market on payment of the required amount within a stipulated period.

PRAYER (W.P.(MD) No.3819 of 2017): Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.01.2017, seeking for extension of time to run a weekly market on payment of the required amount within a stipulated period.

2. Mr.G.Muthu Kannan, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent in both the writ petitions. With the

consent of both sides, these writ petitions are taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The prayer in both the writ petitions is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 25.01.2017, seeking for extension of time to run a daily market and weekly market respectively on payment of the required amount, within a stipulated period.

4. On perusal, it is seen that present period expires on 31.03.2017. Therefore, the respondent has to consider the request of the petitioner and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law without loss of further time. It is also made clear that this Court is not expressing any view on the request made by the petitioner as it has to be considered by the respondent.

5. Accordingly, both the writ petitions are disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 25.01.2017, and to pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
