RESPONDENT/COMPLAINANT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to extend the time granted to the petitioner for surrender / appear before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur District in Crl.O.P.No.3889 of 2021 dated 17/03/2021 on the file of the Honourable Court to execute the bail bonds.

Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.MAHALAKSHMI.S.K., Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.P.KOTTAI CHAMY, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed to extend the time to comply with the condition imposed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.3889 of 2021 dated 17.03.2021.

2. It appears that the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail as early as on 17.03.2021 and after a period of five months, this application has been filed for extension of time, stating that due to the pandemic situation, the petitioner could not arrange the sureties. This Court is not satisfied with the reasons assigned in the petition. Therefore, this petition is dismissed, however, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application for anticipatory bail, if so advised.
