Mr.R.Prabhu Ramachandran, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondent-Corporation. With the consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to refund the withheld amount of the petitioner for the works executed by him during 2009-2016 by considering his representation, dated 07.02.2017.

3. It is needless to say that it is for the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and to pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law.
