PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to constitute a complaint cell at Virudhunagar District as per the order of this Court in W.P.No.26991 of 2014 forthwith consequently to direct the respondents 3 to 6 to provide police protection to the petitioner and her husband and family members of her husband by considering her representation, dated 30.08.2021. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to constitute a complaint cell at Virudhunagar District as per the order of this Court in W.P.No.26991 of 2014 forthwith and consequently to direct the respondents 3 to 6 to provide police protection to the petitioner and her husband and family members of her husband by considering her representation, dated 30.08.2021. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner fell in love with her husband one Maharaja, who belonged to other community. However, their love affair was no accepted by her parents and family members. Against their will, she got married with the said Maharaja on 27.08.2021 at Arulmigu Palani Murugan Temple, Dindigul District.

Now, the family members of the petitioner's are threatening them with dire consequences since both belonged to different communities and threatened to kill them. Therefore, the petitioner sought for police protection from the seventh respondent herein. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 would submit that on receipt of the said complaint, it was closed after recording the statement from the petitioner herein.

4.In view of the above, if any threat made to the petitioner and if any subsequent complaint lodged by the petitioner, the seventh respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband from the hands of the respondents 8 and 9.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
