O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant local cable TV operator signal in favour of the petitioner, by considering his application dated 22.02.2016.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner has registered himself before the appropriate authority for the purpose of obtaining local cable TV operator permission for providing the telecast rights to the public of his area. After fulfilling the formalities, he approached the respondents for obtaining local cable TV operator licence in his favour. In this connection, he has submitted an application on 22.02.2016 to the second respondent. But, no action has been taken by the respondents till https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

date. In such circumstances, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that he has no objection for considering the petitioner's application on merits.

4. Under such circumstances, the respondents are directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner, on 22.02.2016, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to fulfil any other formalities which will be required for cable TV connection.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
