Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission to conduct Kabadi programme will be held on 20.08.2016 at Arulmighu Sri Ayyanar Ariyavan Swami Kovil situated at Pallapatti Village, Narikudi Post, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to give necessary Police Protection to the said programme.

O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission to conduct Kabadi programme, scheduled to be held on 20.08.2016 at Arulmighu Sri Ayyanar Ariyavan Swami Kovil situated at Pallapatti Village, Narikudi Post, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District and to give necessary Police Protection to the said programme.
2. Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the programme is being conducted by the villagers regularly in order to promote harmony during the above said festival period; that a representation was given to the second respondent, but, however, the same was not considered so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that as the aforesaid festival is celebrated in a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
peaceful manner by the villagers, there will be no untoward incident on account of this celebration.
5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that as the area is considered to be a sensitive zone, the second respondent did not grant permission.
6.However, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents undertakes to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner.
7. In view of the above submission, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.08.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law on or before 20.08.2016.
