O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent to give permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament from 11.03.2017 at 9 p.m. to 12.03.2017 till 6.00 p.m. in the petitioner's village, namely, Vasudevanaloor, Tirunelveli District in Ambedkar Thidal for Chembaruthi and Bharath Kabadi Club. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that on 05.03.2017 during the Kabadi Tournament that was held in the same place, violence broke loose, in connection with which a case in Crime No.45 of 2017 was registered on 05.03.2017 for offence under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(i) I.P.C.

3.Under such circumstances, this Court cannot issue a blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner. However, it is always open to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and pass orders on merits, either rejecting the application or granting permission with stringent conditions as respondent police deem just and necessary, expeditiously. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
