O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking direction to the second respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.26 of 2016 dated 22.04.2016 within the time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the defacto complainant. The case has been registered in Crime No.26 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 465, 468, 471 and 420 IPC.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after lapse of 5 years, there is no progress in investigation and therefore, he seeks a direction for expeditious investigation.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) would submit that so far no clue is available to secure the fifth accused. He seeks 3 months time to complete the investigation and to file a final report.

5. Since 5 years lapse, proper steps must be taken by the second respondent to complete the investigation. Let the papers be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

6. Considering the request made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side), there shall be a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the first respondent shall monitor the investigation.

7. With the above directions, this petitio is disposed of.
