ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate protection to the petitioner and his family members based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2021. 2.The case of the petitioner is that his daughter namely Geetha has invested money with one K.M.Samy Group of PRI Finance Company and she also introduced some people to invest money in the said Finance Company. Thereafter, the said finance company did not repay the said amount and hence, the petitioner's daughter has given complaint. Based upon the complaint, enquiry was conducted in C.S.R.No.101 of 2021 but, the FIR has not been registered and she has also filed a petition in W.P(MD).No.13556 of 2021 seeking for 1/3
direction. On 22.08.2021, the private respondents 3 to 6 came to the house of the petitioner and demanded money and also threatened him. Thereafter, the petitioner called the police control room and the police officials came there and rescued the petitioner's grandchildren. Based on the aforesaid incident, the petitioner sent a representation dated 23.08.2021 seeking for police protection to the second respondent. Till date, the petitioner's representation has not been considered by the concerned Officials. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3.Heard, both sides.
4.Based upon the representation given by the petitioner's daughter in W.P.No.13556 of 2021, a case was registered in Crime No. 20 of 2021 against the three persons namely Dharmaraj, Selvi, Somasundaram.
5.It appears that the daughter of the petitioner, who is the petitioner in W.P.No.13556 of 2021 introduced several persons to invest money with one K.M.Samy Group of PRI Finance Company. On the assurance of the petitioner's daughter, the people have invested money in the said finance company. Thereafter, the said finance company did not repay the said amount and cheated the investors. On that basis, the investors went to the petitioner's house and demanded to settle all the amount, except that there was no life threat made to the petitioner and his grandchildren. 6.Since, the FIR was registered against the accused persons, nothing survives for further consideration or direction in this matter. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, as infructuous.
