Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition, the writ petitioner died and all the retirement benefits have been settled to the widow. Thus, the prayer that has been sought for has become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
