Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 13.03.2017 at night in connection with "Pongal Vel Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Soliamman, Muthusamy Kovil at Kongunagar, Venkamedu, Karur District by consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Ramalingam For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohamed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 01.03.2017 and 06.03.2017, two representations have been given, but the same have not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representations alleged to have been given by the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
