PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the fourth respondent to ensure that 6 and 9th Mandagapadi including Aadi Therottam Temple Festival has to be conducted in a peaceful manner without allowing dominance of any community / class of people, which causes communal disharmony and Law and Order Problem in recent years, even though all the Mandagapaditharargal equally contribute Rs.10,000/- each, to conduct 9th Mandagapadi including Therottam Temple Festival of Arulmighu Maavayal Kattu Ayyanar Temple, Keelathaniyam Post, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District within a time frame has fixed by this Court on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2025. ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3, learned counsel for the fourth respondent and also learned counsel for intervening party.
2. It is informed that the temple festival may start during the first week of August, 2025.

3. The learned counsel for the intervening party submits that the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.05.2025 is incorrect. It is informed that although the temple was built by the members of the Yadava community, the same was taken over by the TN HR and CE Department in the year 1956. Thereafter, its affairs are under the control of the Executive Officer, namely, the fourth respondent herein.
4. It is submitted that the petitioner has given a false representation to make some of the members of the Yadava are diminutive and also excluding the members of other communities.

The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the temple festival will be conducted in a usual manner as per the regular customs and as per the prevailing practice without any deviation and that the petitioner's representation will be considered, after hearing all the concerned parties.
6. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 3/5
fourth respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, after hearing all the interested parties.
7. It is made clear that the temple festival shall be held in a peaceful manner without any untoward incidents. If required, the fourth respondent may take assistance of the local Police. No costs. Index : Yes / No 12.06.2025 Internet : Yes / No apd To
