Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from constructing a bridge in Survey No.49, at the neck of the inlet through which water is getting into Piramanakurichi Kanmai, consequently, directing the respondents to construct the bridge, just 50 metres north on the same.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to restrain the respondents from constructing a bridge in Survey No.49, at the neck of the inlet through which water is getting into Piramanakurichi Kanmai.

2. The affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition indicates that the petitioner wanted construction of a bridge 50 metres away from the northern side of the present location.

3. This Court is not an expert to decide the location where the bridge should be constructed. It should be left to the wisdom of the officials, who are equipped for such purpose. We, therefore, do not find any reason to issue a Writ of Mandamus, as prayed for by the petitioner.
