:Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders in the petitioner's representation, dated 11.07.2016 to give employment to the petitioner in the office of the third respondent. ********** The petitioner Mrs.M.Chellammal, has come to this Court seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint her on compassionate ground on the ground that her step-mother Indira, while she was working in the third respondent society, died on 11.10.1996.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her step-mother Indira died on 11.10.1996 while she was in service with the third respondent society. At that time, the petitioner was 11 years old. Therefore, after attaining majority, she has been advised to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

give a representation to the respondents, seeking compassionate appointment.

3. But, this Court is not inclined to consider the prayer for several reasons. Firstly, the petitioner claims that Tmt.Indira is her step-mother, but no-where, she has produced any legal heirship certificate to that effect. Secondly, she has not even mentioned that the so-called step-mother Indira was working for some considerable period in the third respondent society. Thirdly, the petitioner has also not even mentioned during which period her step-mother served with the third respondent.

4. Therefore, when the petitioner has not even shown the status of her step-mother in the third respondent society or any proof therefor, this Court is not able to find any merit in the vague affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No Costs.
