O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to fix and disburse the pension to the petitioner by counting half of the service rendered by the petitioner from 04-071982 to 29.03.2016 on daily wages basis along with regular service rendered by the

petitioner from 30.03.2016 to 30.06.2016 with all consequential benefits from the date of retirement by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 09.02.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the fourth respondent.

3.Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.P.Gunasekaran, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the fourth respondent. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.02.2017, on merits within a time stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.02.2017, and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
