Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to survey the petitioner's property in Thirumangalakottai Melaiyur S.F.No.116/8 and 116/10 measuring 0.40 cents in Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District. ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to survey his property in Thirumangalakottai Melaiyur S.F.No.116/8 and 116/10, measuring 0.40 cents, in Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District.

2. Heard Mr.J.Madhu, learned counsel for the petitioner; and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, for the respondents. With the consent of both the counsel, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3. According to the petitioner, Natham Patta for the above mentioned property stands in his name in Patta No.340. He filed an application before the first respondent on 04.06.2025 in application No. 2025/N123/21/008335, seeking survey of the above said property. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that earlier the petitioner filed similar application for survey of the property situated in Survey No.166/8 and the same was surveyed. Now, a fresh application has been filed, seeking survey of the property situated in Survey No.166/8 along with 116/10.

5. Since the petitioner submitted an application for survey of the property in respect of which revenue records stand in his name, the respondents are directed to consider the online application of the petitioner, dated 04.06.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties.

6. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 13.06.2025 NCC :
