ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu, who is the petitioner's husband and to set him at liberty.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that her husband left for work on 12.04.2026 and thereafter, he did not return back home. In spite of the best efforts, the whereabouts of the petitioner's husband were not able to be ascertained. Hence, a complaint came to be given before the third respondent, based on which, a man missing FIR has been registered in Crime No.172 of 2026. Since no effective steps were taken to find the whereabouts of the detenu, the present petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to follow the guidelines issued by this Court in the case of K. Sukumari Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar, reported in 2018(2) -L.W. (Crl) -636 and proceed with the case and find the whereabouts of the detenu as expeditiously as possible.
