O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed under section 12 of the Patta pass Book Act, dated 09.02.2017, in respect of property situated in survey No.600/15 at veeranampatti village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District.

2. Mr.M.Alagadevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if the appeal of the petitioner is disposed of, by the first respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the appeal will be considered in accordance with law.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the appeal of the petitioner, dated 09.02.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
