Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, directing the respondents to approve the petitioner's appointment as Assistant Professor in History with effect from 07.08.2017 in the vacancy which arose on 31.05.2017 due to the retirement of Dr.A.Tresa Josephin Rani and to grant salary and other benefits including arrears with interest from 07.08.2017 within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 27.04.2018. The petitioner seeks to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.04.2018 within a time frame.

the respondents 1 and 2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.04.2018 in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
