ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to reimburse the petitioner's medical expenses as per the petitioner's request dated 21.09.2016.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a pensioner and he is also a subscriber to the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioner's Health Insurance Scheme. During the month of April 2015, the petitioner's wife had taken treatment in the Apollo Hospital, Tiruchirappalli, wherein, the petitioner had settled the entire medical expenses and she passed away on 21.04.2015. Requesting for reimbursement of the medical expenses by quoting the judgment passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.1408 of 2016 and G.O.Ms.No.171 dated 26.06.2014, the petitioner sent a representation dated 21.09.2016, which has not been considered by the respondent concerned so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent concerned to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.09.2016 on merit and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders, after affording opportunity to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
