This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent to conduct proper enquiry and to 1/4

investigate the same in accordance with law, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 06.07.2022.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) takes notice for the respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie., 22.07.2022), the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the respondent has received the complaint of the petitioner and the same is referred to the Tahsildar, Theni Taluk, and the enquiry is pending.

4.Recording the same, the respondent is hereby directed to conduct enquiry of the petitioner's complaint dated 06.07.2022, after receiving the report from the Tahsildar, Theni Taluk, and to take suitable action on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
