ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the official respondents to take appropriate steps to enable the petitioner, being a Karuppanasamiyadi of Arulmigu Karuppannasamy Temple situated at A.Karisalkulam Village, Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District, to conduct and perform the Kappukattu on 14.05.2026 and Kalari Poojai scheduled to be held on 21.05.2026, 22.05.2026 and 23.05.2026 as per the regular practice, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2026.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate submitted that this Writ Petition has become infructuous because of the lapse of time and the date on which the petitioner sought for permission to conduct the temple festival has already lapsed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the temple festival has not been conducted on that dates and the temple festival is yet to be conducted.

4. Heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed as against the private respondents, notice to them is dispensed with.

5. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has become infructuous. Therefore, the petitioner is at liberty to make a fresh representation indicating the date of temple festival and if necessary, file a fresh writ petition seeking relief.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 18.06.2026 NCC : yes / no Index : yes / no pnn 4/6
