Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the petitioners terminal benefits including gratuity, earned leave salary, commuted value of pension, provident fund amount of pay revision arrears and difference in salary for the period from 01/09/2016 to 31/08/2017 and all other attendant monetary benefits together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum payable from the date of his retirement ie., from 31/05/2018 to till the date on which the said benefits are settled to the petitioner.

ORDER

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the principal amount has already been paid and the interest has not been paid to the petitioner.

In reply, the learned Counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 as well as the learned Counsel for the third respondent, on instructions, submitted that they will pay the amount to the petitioner within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said submission is placed on record.

3. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed and the respondents herein will have to pay the interest in two equal installments to the petitioner, viz., first installment on or before 20.10.2019 and second installment on or before 20.11.2019.
