ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the First Appeal filed by the petitioner dated 12.04.2025 under RTI Act within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard Ms.M.Janani Priya, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner herein submitted an application before the third respondent seeking certain informations relating to the issuance of patta in the name of one Balagurusamy S/o Ramasamy in respect of the property comprised in S.No.319/9A situated at Koottudankadu Village, Pudhukottai Taluk, Thoothukudi District. The said information was not furnished within the time under the Act. Therefore, the petitioner filed the First Appeal before the second respondent on 12.04.2025 and the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition.

4. Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who appeared for the respondents, would submit that the first appeal submitted 2/4

by the petitioner will be considered by the second respondent on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the first appeal filed by the petitioner dated 12.04.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
