O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to conduct peace committee meeting in respect of conducting Thiruvulakku pooja in Sri Periya Nayagi Amman Temple in Uruvatti Village, Sivagangai District, on 12.08.2016 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action as against persons conducting function in the Sri Periya Nayagi Amman Temple with out obtaining permission from the 3rd respondent 2.Mr.D.Muruganandham, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the name of conducting poojas, money has been collected illegally by some of the parties, who are not connected with the festival. Therefore, a representation dated 10.08.2016 has been given by the petitioner herein. However, the said representation has not been considered so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that it is only the petitioner, who wanted a peace committee meeting. Accordingly, a peace committee meeting was conducted and certain decisions have been taken and the same has been produced before this Court.

6. It is seen from the decisions taken in the peace committee meeting that there have been no reference about the money collected illegally. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the respondents and on receipt of the same, the respondents shall conduct enquiry and take appropriate decisions.

With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
