ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed on the petitioner in paragraph No.6 of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8860 of 2026, dated 06.05.2026, whereby the petitioner was directed to execute sureties, along with a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) before the learned Additional District Judge, Sivagangai.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, owing to the vacation, the learned Additional District Judge, Sivagangai, is unable to accept the sureties produced by the petitioner. Hence, he seeks modification of the said condition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police.

4. Considering the reasons stated in the affidavit, the condition 2/5

imposed on the petitioner in paragraph No.6 of the order passed in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8860 of 2026, dated 06.05.2026, is modified, and the petitioner is directed to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two sureties each for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Karaikudi. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Karaikudi, is hereby directed to accept the sureties to be furnished by the petitioner. Since the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking modification, the time granted by this Court is extended by a further period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. All other conditions imposed by this Court shall remain unaltered.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed. 13-05-2026 Note : Issue order copy on 13.05.2026.
