ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition, as a Public Interest Litigation, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to make necessary steps to identify and survey the total extent of "Meikkal and Mandaveli Porambokke" land all over the State of Tamil Nadu and further direct the respondents to set up a permanent board, so as to specify the survey of "Meikkal and Mandaveli Porambokke" land, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 26.07.2021 as expeditiously as possible.

2. On a perusal of the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition and also the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, it could be seen that the petitioner is seeking to survey and measure the "Meikkal and Mandaveli Porambokke" land all over the State of Tamil Nadu. However, the petitioner has made the District Collector, Thirunelveli District and the Secretary to the Government as respondents in the Writ Petition. When the petitioner is seeking to survey and measure the lands all over the State of Tamilnadu, the District Collector is not a proper party to do the exercise. The fourth respondent - the District Collector, Thirunelveli District cannot measure the land all over the State of Tamil Nadu.

3. The petitioner has sought for omnibus prayer in the Writ Petition, which we are not inclined to entertain. Accordingly the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
