PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to provide police protection for conducting temple festival is scheduled to be conducted from 22.05.2026 to 27.05.2026 for the Sri Punnahai Kaliamman, Sri Rengammal Temple Naduvapatti in Thiruvenkadam Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 05.05.2026. ORDER
Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sankarankovil, Tenkasi District, is suo motu impleaded as the 4th respondent. Mr. K. Saravanan, learned counsel, takes notice on behalf of the fourth respondent.

2. W.M.P.(MD) No.723 of 2026 seeking impleadment of respondents 5 to 11 is ordered. The Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment accordingly. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, notice to the private respondents is dispensed with.
3. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 herein to provide police protection for conducting temple festival is scheduled to be conducted from 22.05.2026 to 27.05.2026 for the Sri Punnahai Kaliamman, Sri Rengammal Temple Naduvapatti in Thiruvenkadam Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 05.05.2026.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials placed before this Court.

In view of the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court directs the fourth respondent to issue notice to the petitioner as well as the newly impleaded respondents 5 to 11 and conduct peace committee meeting on or before 15.06.2026 and facilitate conduct of the aforesaid temple festival thereafter.
