COMMON PRAYER : Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to re-fix the scale of pay of the petitioners at Rs.2000 - 3500/- on par with the scale of pay sanctioned to similarly placed vocational instructors by extending the benefit of Government Order in G.O.(1D).No.327, School Education Department, dated 18/11/2013 along with all consequential monetary benefits for the service 1/3
rendered by the petitioners in the post of Vocational Instructor within time frame to be fixed by this Court.
For Petitioners in all W.Ps., : Mr.K.Esakki For Respondents in all W.Ps., : Mr.A.Thiagarajan Government Advocate COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to re-fix the scale of pay of the petitioners at Rs.2,000/- - 3,500/- on par with the scale of pay sanctioned to similarly placed vocational instructors, by extending the benefit of G.O.(1D).No.327, School Education Department, dated 18.11.2013 along with all consequential monetary benefits for the service rendered by the petitioners in the post of Vocational Instructor. 2.By consent of both parties, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The grievance of the petitioners is that with the relief sought for in the prayer, though they have made representations, dated 04.09.2020, before the respondents, so far no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petitions.
4.Mr.A.Thiagarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' representations dated 04.09.2020, will be disposed of by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks. 5.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- the respondents are directed to consider the petitioners' representations dated 04.09.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; 6.With the above directions, the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
