ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner was a licensed engineer to draw building construction plan as per the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971. His license was cancelled citing his involvement in a criminal case. The petitioner states that the criminal case has since been action dropped. The petitioner claims that his record is now clean. He therefore wants the respondents to restore and renew the license. The petitioner has given a representation before the third respondent.

3. The third respondent is directed to consider the same and pass an appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law. This shall be done within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I have not gone into the merits of the matter.
