This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to alter the date of birth of the petitioner as 01.03.1960 instead of 02.04.1959, in the service register, with all consequential benefits within the time period stipulated by this Court.

directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2017, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer now restricted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:

The respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2017 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
