Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent i.e., the Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.09.2016 regarding sanction of increment, treating the period of suspension as duty and declaration of probation within a specified time frame since the petitioner's date of superannuation is fast approaching on 31.05.2019, that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ petition is filed to direct the first respondent Viz., Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.09.2016 regarding sanction of increment, treating the period of suspension as duty and declaration of probation within a specified time frame since the petitioner's date of superannuation is fast approaching on 31.05.2019, that may be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. It is brought to the notice of this Court, by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that, by proceeding dated 21.11.2016, the District Collector, has recommended to the first respondent for further action.
3. Considering the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner and also the admitted facts, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:
"The first respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.09.2016, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with the law."
4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
