Today, when the matters are taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Civil Revision Petitions. He has also made endorsements to that effect.

2. Permission is granted. The petitioners are entitled to raise all the defences that are open to them by way of additional written statement, for which, the learned Additional District Munsif, Aruppukottai shall grant sufficient time.

3. Accordingly, these Civil Revision Petitions stand dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
