Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to conduct auction in a transparent manner to lease out the Kasankadu Village Panchayat Marriage Hall located in Kasankadu Village by considering the representation of the Villagers dated 14.02.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.P.Gokulnaath For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to conduct public auction in respect of the marriage hall mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has represented that already a proceeding has been taken with regard to lease of the marriage hall mentioned in the petition.

4.It is seen from the records that on 14.02.2017, the petitioner has given a representation for the purpose of conducting public auction in respect of the marriage hall mentioned therein. Considering the aforesaid factual aspect, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondents are directed to look into the representation dated 14.02.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of ten days.
