: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to disburse the petitioner's service benefits of pay increment for nine years and two years respectively, in the light of the orders of the Labour Court, Madurai dated 22.06.2015 in I.D.No.17 of 2011 and further pay increment after punishment period withheld by the respondent Corporation all these years and as per the representation dated 09.09.2016 within a reasonable time. *********** Though the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to disburse the petitioner's service benefits of pay increment for nine years and two years respectively, in the light of the orders of the Labour Court, Madurai dated 22.06.2015 in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

I.D.No.17 of 2011, at the time of arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the Labour Union dated 04.09.2015 and the subsequent representation dated 09.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame.

2. Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought for by the petitioner's counsel and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the Labour Union dated 04.09.2015 and the subsequent representation dated 09.09.2016 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
