steps to start a Middle School or to upgrade the existing Elementary School at Aranmanai Pudur Village, Pudhuchathiram Panchayat to that of Elementary School at Pudhuchathiram Village, Dindigul District in the lands earmarked for the said purpose at S.Nos.378/142, Palakkanoothu Village, Dindigul District.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for granting permission for starting a Middle School or to upgrade the existing Elementary School at Aranmanai Pudur Village, Pudhuchathiram Panchayat to that of Elementary School at Pudhuchathiram Village, Dindigul District.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader, placing reliance on the communication bearing Na.Ka.No.341/A2/2015, dated 19.07.2017, issued by the Additional Assistant Elementary Officer, Reddiarchathiram, Dindigul District, informed us that the total strength of the students in the above stated School is only 18 and it is not possible for the Authority to grant permission to start a Middle School or to upgrade the existing Elementary School at Aranmanai Pudur Village, Pudhuchathiram Panchayat.

3. In view of the said statement, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
