ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to respondents to provide police protection to conduct festival of their clan deity Arulmighu Pattavaiya and Arulmighu Kombukaran Temple situates at Keeramangalam Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District on 25.05.2026. 2.According to the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the police officials, a rival group is making a claim for conducting the festival and they had filed W.P.(MD)No.31898 of 2025, which is pending before this Court.

3.In view of the aforesaid submission, the fourth respondent is directed to conduct a peace committee meeting between the petitioner and the rival group and conclude the same within a period of three days from the date of initiation of the peace committee meeting. Depending upon the outcome of the peace committee meeting, the parties are at liberty to proceed further. 4.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
