Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to grant the ordinary increment to the petitioner which should have been granted on 01.10.2015 forthwith along with arrears by considering his representation dated 25.07.2016. ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to grant ordinary increment to the petitioner which should have been granted on 01.10.2015 forthwith along with arrears by considering her representation dated 25.07.2016. 2.It is contended that since the ordinary increment was not given after the due date viz., on 01.10.2015, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.07.2016 to the second respondent which is still pending. The same having not been disposed of till date, the petitioner has come up with the above writ petition.

3.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
