The petitioners' mother seeks a direction to the respondents to rectify the typographical error in the revenue records pertains to the property situated in T.S.No.13/8, Usilampatti Town, Madurai District, by considering her representation dated 16.05.2023.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.K.R.Laxman, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioners, they are entitled to 76 cents of land in the subject survey number and in the revenue records, the extent is wrongly mentioned as 72 cents. Therefore, the petitioners' mother submitted the instant representation on 16.05.2023, seeking rectification of the typographical error with regard to the extent of the property. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioners' mother has come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioners' mother would be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners' mother dated 16.05.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
