ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' application for subdivision and issuance of Patta in respect of Survey No.12/2, having an extent of 1 acre 40 cents, situated at Arockiyanathapuram, Vijayaragava Mudaliyar Chatram Village, Palayamkottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering the petitioners' application dated 15.03.2023, and to dispose of the same within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioners' application dated 15.03.2023 was considered, and on 09.06.2025, orders were passed rejecting the same and issuing Patta in favour of a third person.
4. Recording the above submission, it is evident that the cause of action in the present Writ Petition no longer survives. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the orders passed by appropriate proceedings.
