2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have filed a maintenance petition in M.C.No.7 of 2019 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District and the said case was dismissed. Thereafter, Cr.M.P.No.1640 of 2021 was filed to restore the maintenance case, however, the learned counsel submits that the same has been restored and the main case has not been disposed so far. Hence, he prays for appropriate direction.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that it would suffice if this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District to expedite the trial in M.C.No.7 of 2019 and dispose of the same within a time stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in M.C.No.7 of 2019, if the same is restored and dispose of the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
