after expiry of the licence period on 31.03.2017, when the petitioner approached the respondent for renewal of the licence, the impugned show cause was issued.
3.The further case of the petitioner is that as per G.O.Ms.No.92 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, dated 03.07.2007, she is entitled for renewal of the licence. 4.Heard Mrs.Lakshmi Gopinath, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned counsel for the respondent and perused the materials available on record. 5.In similar facts, in a batch of writ petitions, this court held that licensee of local bodies do not have any right in seeking extension of license and the Government Order relied upon by the petitioner would not apply to the existing licensees. The order was confirmed by the Division Bench. In view of the above facts, this court is of the considered view that the petitioner is not entitled for the relief as sought for in this writ petition. 6.In the result, this writ petition is dismissed.
